Steps to Register for Technical Training

- From the left column, click Technical Training Center
- Scroll down to the heading Steps to Register for Technical Training
Three easy steps:
- Choose an available class
- Go to http://www.tradesecrets.gov.ab.ca/index.html?page=ttschedules/default.asp
- Under the heading, Concrete Finisher,
click the year you want training,
The system will display where/when classes are available.
- Complete the Enrollment Form;

- Send your completed form along with the fees to your training provider (the school).
- Once you are enrolled, a confirmation letter will be provided to both you and your employer.
- Once registered, any changes to your training schedule must be made through your training provider directly.

Before you attempt to challenge any exam, we suggest you:
- Take the Concrete Finisher Knowledge Evaluation Quiz
- Test results will help determine any strengths/weakness.
- Should there be any topic areas that require review, we have course materials that you can purchase for studying.

Government / TradeSecrets criteria for challenging exams:
If you hold a valid recognized credential, and want an Alberta document that says you do, you may apply for an Alberta document that indicates you hold a recognized credential and are allowed to work in a particular trade or branch of a trade. Use the Equivalency Application.
